Even before the dust settles, after Sony's PlayStation Vue service received a great Cinemax bundle from the streaming network, another mighty collaboration between Sony and HBO is set to propel the Vue to unseen heights, in terms of increased users and subscribers to the service. What's even more, Sony announced that the HBO service will come at a subsidized price of $15 per month. With such a luring offer, Sony is bound to make a killing from PlayStation Vue subscriptions. The TV channels too will be a good chance for Sony to showcase the potentialities hidden behind their powerful internet-based service.

Apparently, most gamers on PS3 and PS4 will end up watching more movies than playing games on their PlayStations, if they install the Vue service. The amalgamation between Sony and HBO will add onto the hundreds of TV stations that were previously on this service from Cinemax, according to the PlayStation.Blog.

Here we are talking about the likes of Showtime, International Sports networks, not to mention unlimited series movies from popular cabled channels like CNBC. The packages will vary depending on the location. But in case you need more channels, you can always top up the standard $15 bill to $74.99, to enjoy the Ultra Bundle, as reported by Engadget.

The advantages of using this service for live TV streaming are not something that can be undermined. Guess what, apart from the usual monthly fees, users won't have any other additional expenses. Sony is so straight about payments that it included an option for users to activate the TV streaming feature on their devices through a $15 charge for HBO or Cinemax. This means that there will be no hidden charges, like Set-Top box charges. If you don't want TV, just don't activate the HBO or Cinemax feature, as standalone channels on your device.

To enhance the user experience on this PlayStation, Sony is also releasing a HBO app which will make it easier to browse for movies and Channels. Moreover, the service has been extended to other platforms like Android, thus increasing the number of users.
