Pokémon Fans Get Keldeo Free at This Month’s Mythical Pokémon Introductory

A new month means a new mythical Pokémon is available for free for Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire fans. This October, the Colt Pokémon Keldeo is up for grabs. This legendary Pokémon has made several appearances in the animated series and is capable of running over the surfaces of rivers and oceans. Keldeo is spotted along scenic water formations but it can cross the world gliding across the water in super speeds.

According to Siliconera, Keldeo can be acquired by starting up the game and choosing the game's Mystery Gift option. After selecting 'Mystery Gift,' users need to select 'Receive Gift' and then choose 'Get Via Internet' to get Keldeo for free.

But there is a catch; users will get their brand-new mythical Pokémon when they reach at 100 with 'Ability Justified.' Keldeo will come complete with all its awesome powers including Aqua Jet, Bubble Beam and Double Kick.

This Pokémon is available from October 1 to 24 and only for the Nintendo 3DS system. Poke Beach also reported that a Keldeo plushie is now available at Toys R Us to celebrate Pokémon 20^th anniversary.

Keldeo is classified as part water, part fighting mythical Pokémon registered as number 647. It does not have an evolved form but it transforms to its Resolute Form during an event at the Pledge Grove. Virizon, Cobalion and Terrakion will teach Keldeo the Secret Sword and this allows the colt to permanently change into its Resolute Form. Keldeo, Virizon, Terrakion and Cobalion are members of the Swords of Justice.

Pokémon fans had the first glimpse of Keldeo in a leaked photo from CoroCoro magazine in February 2012 while images of its Resolute Form were released in June 2012. Initially, Keldeo sports a colt-like body cream colored with blue eyes. It has flowing red mane, ridged eyebrows and a cream-colored horn. In Resolute Form, its horn becomes ridged, larger and becomes dark blue in color. Three multi-colored feathers emerge from each side of its head. In its Resolute Form, Keldeo is swifter and more powerful than ever.

The three mythical Pokemons who taught Keldeo how to transform into its Resolute Form were the ones who took care of the colt when it was separated from its family. In Pokemon history, Keldeo took off the forest one day, leaving the three mythical Pokemons who raised him. This was the reason Keldeo had to return to his caretakers in order to gain his Resolute Form.
