According to iTech Post, Han Solo's character will return in two possible survival theories. The first theory is the so-called "double-agent theory." This will use Kylo Ren's ability to hold blaster bolts in place via the force, where he could have bent the saber around Han Solo to make it look like that it was a clean stabbing.
The second theory is that as Han Solo's death will closely resemble a confrontation between Luke and Darth Vader. There is also a huge possibility that Han can survive a similar fall just like what happened to Luke.
