"Supernatural" season 12 is set to air this week and to tease fans all the more, The CW has released a new video trailer which reveals an interesting new villain next season. The new season 12 trailer was unusually done backwards. A news outlet said that this was inspired from Memento in an effort to capture the attention of viewers. And as predicted, the backward trailer actually worked but fans can't help but speculate why they saw Adolf Hitler in the trailer.

A report from Hall of Fame Magazine explained why the World War II personality was in the trailer. Adam Rose will reprise his role as Adam Bass who was in Season 8 in an episode entitled 'Everybody Hates Hitler.'

In this episode, Bass was introduced as a part of the Judah initiative initiate therefore he has to fight for the interest of the clandestine rabbi group. After this he was also in an episode when the Thule Society comes back. This group wanted Hitler alive or rather, resurrected from the dead. Bass will join forces with Sam and Dean to defeat the Thule Society and of course Hitler himself.

Andrew Dabb, "Supernatural" executive producer said that viewers and fans of the show should look out for new crazy things in the next season. He said that the rise of Hitler was necessary so that they could open up new weird things to happen in the future episodes.

Melty also reported on the new trailer citing another thrilling thing about next season. Season 12 will finally reveal the real identity of Mary Winchester after she was brought from the dead in the finale of season 11. Spoilers for episode 1 'Keep Calm and Carry On' was revealed saying that Dean will be awestruck as he finally faces his mother, Mary Winchester. Sam on the other hand will be fighting for his life as Lady Tony shoots him.

Season 12 of "Supernatural" will premiere on October 13, Thursday at 9p.m. ET on The CW.
