'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them': JK Rowling Has Great News For Movie Franchise

As everybody knows, 'Harry Potter' was such a successful book and movie franchise, it created such a huge fanbase that loyal and casual fans alike thought it would have been all over since 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2'. JK Rowling has proven us wrong. "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" was thought to be just one film that in the Harry Potter universe. Now, JK Rowling announces that there will be five. 

It was mentioned by Variety that  Rowling mentioned when she was writing the screenplay for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" would have multiple movies. The idea started off more as a trilogy, then after a while Rowling was sure that it was going to be a five movie franchise. 

According to new.com.au, 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' films would have the last film by November 2020 if it were a trilogy. It had already been announced last August that the sequel was already on the works. 

Variety also mentioned that after Rowling had her idea for the five movies, there was a fan event where the first ten minutes of the footage of "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them". It showed a bunch of investigators looking into unseen beasts within the countryside. After which a montage of headlines from 1926 that points out to a dark wizard called "Gellert Grindelwald". 

The main star of the show, Eddie Redmayne, mentioned that the character he's playing as, Newt Scamander, was "incredibly passionate". He also did take into account that due to the success of the former Harry Potter films, expectations on Redmayne and the overall movie of "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" is really high. Redmayne also mentions that the pressure is on. 

The first installment will be showing at November 18, 2016. While the second installment will be expected to show at November 16, 2018.
