Vanilla Ice's Wife Laura Giaritta finally files for divorce!

Robert Van Winkle better known for his stage name as "Vanilla Ice" has been divorced by his wife of 16 years,  Laura Giaritta.

The famous 90's rapper with the song "Ice Ice Baby" got the ice cold treatment of getting divorced. This may have been a long time coming since Vanilla Ice his wife Laura have been separated for a few years already. According to People, the divorce papers were filed last Tuesday in Florida.

Vanilla Ice and Giaritta currently has two teenage daughters, 18-year-old Dusti Rain and the their youngest KeeLee Breeze who is 16 years old. Their separation came after two incidents of domestic battery, the first case was back in 2001 which happened in Davie, Florida, where the rapper pleaded guilty over pulling hair from Laura's head to stop her from jumping out of his truck's window during their argument. Vanilla Ice was sentenced to probation and was ordered to attend family therapy sessions.

The second case was in 2008, the rapper got arrested in Palm Beach County, Florida for the reports of kicking and hitting his wife. But Giaritta later then said that Van Winkle had only pushed her, while a neighbor said it court that it was only a mere verbal argument. With that, the case was dropped later on.

The Grammy-nominated rapper according to Hollywood Life, recently appeared on season 23 of the show "Dancing With the Stars." The season premiered on September 12, and he was eliminated during the episode shown on the 4th of October. The former rapper slash MC who now performs on the nostalgia circuit has yet to give his reactions about the case.

First it was Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and now Vanilla Ice and Giaritta. Can true love really not last in Hollywood at all?
