Aaron Carter on Family, His Battle with Drugs and Depression and Sister’s Death on Rare TV Int

Aaron Carter's life was as not always as sweet as candy. He was known for his chart-topping hits back in the 1990s and in the early 2000 and of course his relationships with beautiful women in and out of Hollywood. But only a few knew of the singer's personal struggles, struggles that have led to his absence in the music industry.

"Oprah: Where Are They Now" has given Aaron a chance to tell everyone about his personal struggles. In a rare TV interview, the singer looked back at his life and recalled his personal battle with depression, drug use and his family life.

E! News reported a few highlights of the interview beginning with Aaron recollection of his parents' divorce. He said that this was exactly the day he was to shoot for a special episode of MTV's "Cribs." He said that he remembered this announcement very well because it was made an hour before they were to shoot.  Aaron said that the divorce took its toll on him and caused him to make some bad choices in life.

The singer said that he loved his family too much and did not want to see his parents get divorced. His depression led to partying and getting into trouble. He recalled losing all his money after spending it on partying and drugs. In 2003 to 2004, his family owned one of the biggest properties in the Florida Keys and no one knew that they were losing it all.

Celebrity News Insider also revealed Aaron's feelings about her sister and her untimely death. She was just 21-years old when she died. He remembered promising her sister that he would help her get into rehab.

Aaron was not making much that year and just got his $10,000 bonus when his father called him up to tell him the terrible news. The news hit him so bad that he was in denial; he was only able to come to Leslie's funeral after two days.

In the interview, he shared that out of all the things that have happened in his life; Leslie's passing has affected him a lot. He said that it made him realize what life means and it is more than just money and fame.

Viewers and fans of Aaron Carter will be able to watch this exclusive interview in "Oprah: Where Are They How?" which will air on Saturday 10 p.m. ET on OWN.
