Nicole Eggert, 41, was hospitalized on Thursday due to a high-dive injury on the set of ABC's new reality show, "Splash."
Eggert, former star on "Baywatch," was attempting to do a dive that included multiple backflips and hit the water on her back, sources told TMZ.
After the impact, on-site EMTs pulled Eggert out of the pool and rushed her to the hospital for treatment.
An representative from the ABC series said that she had "a bad landing," according to The Huffington Post.
Sources said that the impact looked extremely painful, according to TMZ.
TMZ sources also explained that Eggert did not break any bones but the doctors wanted to make sure that she did not sustain any internal injuries from the impact. They are focusing particularly on her kidneys.
"Eggert was released from the hospital after a few hours," TMZ reports.
"The ER is always fun," she tweeted later on, according to Us Weekly.
Last month, Eggert sustained a minor injury while attempting a handstand into a dive, according to People. It "scared the crap out of me," she told the magazine.
"It has been on air for just a month but TV diving contest Splash has already suffered a multitude of celebrity injuries," Daily Mail wrote.
Chuy Bruno could no longer compete after he fractured his heel during diving practice, Katherine Webb had to quit after a back injury and Rory Bushfield ruptured his eardrum but continued competing, according to TMZ. In addition, Kendra Wilkinson also quit the show because she realized that diving "wasn't for her," according to The Huffington Post.
"The show itself is also suffering from falling ratings," according to Starpulse.com.
