After an impressive portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman in the movie "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice", many are waiting for Ben Affleck's Batman on a solo movie. Unfortunately, fans may not be getting one, at least not anytime soon.

MovieWeb says that as of early October, Affleck, who plays the millionaire Bruce Wayne/Dark Knight Batman, said on an interview with E! News for the movie "The Accountant", that "there is no The Batman movie happening yet". Citing a lack of a proper script and budget as the reason for delay, no other details are confirmed after the announcement.

This comes after a year or so since reports started about the movie, initially titled "The Batman". The first reports started 2015, when details saying that Affleck is working on a script for the movie with comic book writer Geoff Johns came out. People from DC Films then gave out additional details.

Jeff Bewkes, Time Warner CEO and Warner Bros. overseer believed that the movie may have a summer 2018 release date. An announcement that actor Joe Mangianello would play Deathstroke, the main villain of the said movie. Warner Bros. CEO, Kevin Tsujihara even announced that a solo Batman movie will happen. Affleck also stated that he plans to direct the said film.

Another report from HuffingtonPost, during a press visit for the Justice League movie back in June, however, Affleck seems to be starting to calm down the Batman crowd. He stated that the earlier timetable given may be extended, as a good script it not made yet. This may not be the end of it, though; as this confirms that we still have the movie, albeit in its early production stages.

Fans of the Dark Knight fret not, though. Batman is still slated to appear on the silver screen along with Superman, Wonder Woman, and others as part of the Justice League, which is scheduled to come out on November 2017.
