This week's episode of Naruto Shippuden will feature a glimpse of Sasuke and Sakura's past. It looks into some key moments in the lives of these two characters, some of which define who they are right now.

The first part focuses on Sasuke's past and his relationship with his older brother Itachi, ITech Post shares. It starts with a six-year old Sasuke, desperately trying to get the attention of his brother. The brothers finally get to spend some quality time together, to the joy of young Sasuke.

They are then shown to be doing some Kunai training together. It becomes apparent that Sasuke has a gift for using Kunai blades, despite his young age. After training, the brothers have a conversation about the Uchiha clan. When asked about the meaning of their crest, Itachi states that their crest, a fan, is needed to make a fire flame up.

Sasuke then asks his brother if the reason why he fights is for their clan, Itachi responds that he is unsure about the reason he fights. After having dinner and more conversation, the brothers then sleep for the night. Morning comes and Sasuke finds out that his brother is already gone, much to his disappointment.

The second part of the episode is centered on a young Sakura and her insecurities. Parent Herald states that her forehead seems to be a big source of her insecurity, and her hairstyle isn't really helping to fix the problem. She then gains a new friend through Ino, who also goes to the same school as she does. Ino helped Sakura deal with her problem by giving her a red ribbon and boosting her confidence by reminding her of how beautiful she is.

As the two girls grow really close, Sakura tells Ino that she likes Sasuke. As it turns out, Ino also has a thing for him, and this led their friendship down south. Sakura was also rejected by Sasuke when she told him how she felt, which makes matters worse for our young heroine.
