Prince Harry to Press About Meghan Markle: Stop Harassing My Girlfriend!

Prince Harry has set his foot down. He wants the press to back off his girlfriend American actress Meghan Markle as confirmed by a statement released by Kensington Palace in November 8. The rare statement indicated that the two are clearly in a relationship calling Meghan his girlfriend. The Kensington Palace announcement said that the "Suits" actress has been subjected to abuse and harassment.

CNN reported on Prince Harry's orders to the press. It has posted Kensington Palace's announcement stating: "His girlfriend Meghan Markle has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment. Some of this has been very public - the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments." This was a part of the statement from the Prince's communications secretary via the Kensington Palace official Twitter account.

The Guardian cited a few examples of what the British press are publishing about Markle which has angered Prince Harry. One was the Sun's article about Megan Markle appearing in an online porn site called "Pornhub" with a title "Harry's girl on Pornhub." A video clip of Meghan in her television series "Suits" was uploaded in the site and not pornography. The Sun has denied any kind of attack on Meghan and said that in the article, they made it clear that the "steamy sex scenes" were taken from the TV series. The scandalous report was removed from the Sun's website Friday.

Another comment particularly attacked Meghan regarding her ancestry. Her father is white while her mother is African-American. The actress even wrote on her website that she was biracial which is half black and half white. The comment, written by Rachel Johnson last weekend on Mail on Sunday said that if Harry and Meghan had children, "the Windsors will thicken their watery, thin blue blood and Spencer pale skin and ginger hair with some rich and exotic DNA."

It seems that Meghan, her family and including everyone that she knows are being bombarded by photographers and press who are eager to get a scoop. There were also reports that her mother had to struggle past people who wanted to take a picture of her just to get to her house.

A representative said that Prince Harry was very upset that all these are happening and is also very unhappy that he is not there to protect her. The source said that the prince knows that all of these are happening because of him.
