Back "by popular demand" Bounce TV will air reruns of "The Cosby Show" starting December 19. The channel has announced this via their official Twitter page saying that people crave for the classic comedy sitcom and they are just giving in to their demands.

The Wrap has reported Bounce TV's announcement along with the mostly negative responses that this news got from social media.

Bounce TV said that their decision to air "The Cosby Show" was from the results of qualitative research indicating that there was a demand for it. They mentioned that they take very seriously the accusations against the comedian however their research showed that their African-American viewers are able to "see a distinction between Bill Cosby, the man and the iconic TV character Cliff Huxtable."

Bounce TV, with a slogan "TV Our Way," got a lot of negative responses due to their decision. One response said that he would rather not imagine the comedian abusing women between scenes and added "Would you air this if he'd raped your daughter?"

Another comment was made in disbelief that the network is airing the show: "Seriously Bill Cosby is being accused of how many women on sexual abuse."

Perez Hilton also reported on the return of "The Cosby Show" on television and it looks like the celebrity blogger is not amused. He began his post with a greeting: "Welcome to Donald Trump's America" and said that the country may not really be bothered about an "alleged sexual assaulter in the White House" so why will they if they see one back on TV?

Fans of "The Cosby Show" who watched reruns on Hulu may now be able to watch shows via Bounce TV. Hulu stopped airing the show after it opted out of renewing its licensing deal with The Carsey-Werner Production Company, the show's producer. The decision was not due to Bill Cosby's sexual assault allegations.
