'The Legend of the Blue Sea' Jun Ji Hyun Talks Character, Better Than 'My Love from the Stars'

A press conference was held for the broadcasting drama "The Legend of the Blue Sea." The two main lead, Jun Jin Hyun and Lee Min Ho, were present and had a very exciting revelation about the drama.

"The Legend of the Blue Sea" stars Jun Ji Hyun and Lee Min Ho both talked about their work together, Jun shared how the Mermaid is different from her previous character on "My Love from the Star."

According to iTech Post, Jun talked about her role. The 35-year-old actress admitted that everything was new for her and  had taken much time to understand her Mermaid character. 

"Because Mermaids are not a common topic in Korean film and dramas, my character feels more refreshing. It's exciting to think that I can show more things," the actress said. 

Viewers will be able to feel a different kind of enjoyment and will see a different role.There is also a lot of scenes that take place Underwater. Viewers will definitely like this unique type of script and character. 

Moreover, in Soompi's report, she also pointed out all the challenges she had faced while playing the Shim Chung's role. She shared how she confidently played the role given that she's an athletic type  of person and she really enjoys swimming.

At that time, she also talked about the experience during special vocational training for the role of a mermaid. She was very happy after completing her shooting and training. 

Jun expressed, how she always think of why she accepted the role of Shim Chung.

"Every day I think about how I never want to play a character that requires water, fire, and special vocational training," she revealed before adding, "but I have no regrets when I see myself Mermaid on screen. I gained a lot of courage from that."

"The Legend of the Blue Sea" is a South Korean television series in which Jun Jin Hyun and Lee Min Ho is playing the lead role. Series air on SBS every Wednesday and Thursday. 

The drama is about a Fisherman who captures and release a Mermaid. this drama tells the love story between the son of a Joseon Noble family named Dam-lin and a Mermaid named Shim Chung.
