Sam Phillips originally wrote music for "Gilmore Girls" in 2000 and when she heard a revival is in the works, she could not wait to return to create more music for the show's fans and followers. Netflix will air "Gilmore Girls: A Day in the Life" this November.

Vox reported on "Gilmore Girls: A Day in the Life" and all about how Sam Phillips took on the new project without hesitation. Since the original show ended in 2007, after 7 great seasons, Phillips has been busy creating music for "Bunheads," another show by Amy Sherman-Palladino, creator of "Gilmore Girls." She has released five EPs and two albums but despite this, she did not think twice getting back with writing for the "Gilmore Girls" revival.

The report also mentioned how Phillips wanted to pick up where the show basically left off. She recalled that Sherman- Palladino told her to use her own voice to create background vocals. This would be another character that Rory and Lorelei will hear in their heads.

Phillips also lovingly said that "Gilmore Girls" melodies are like tunes that one would sing casually; kind of a song stuck in ones head. She owed the success of her tunes to simple production which has connected characters or emotions in the show.

NY Times also reported on "Gilmore Girls" revival saying that it was inspired by Sherman-Palladino and her husband and co-creator, Daniel Palladino. A contract dispute caused them to depart early from the series and the revival allowed them to create their own closure to the story.

Netflix was also the best avenue for the revival considering its appeal to wider generations. "Gilmore Girls" fit nicely with its roster of older shows such as "Arrested Development" and "Fuller House." Fans will be able to watch the original cast like Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel and supporting actors like Melissa McCarthy and Milo Ventimiglia. "Gilmore Girls: A Day In the Life" will air on November 25 on Netflix.
