Jenna Krehbiel, of Kansas, was surprised to find a tiger who had escaped the Isis Shrine Circus in the public bathroom this weekend.

It was her first trip to the circus with her family, according to the Salina Journal.

She said that she got up from her seat a little while after the tiger had performed to use the bathroom and she did not realize that the bathroom was already occupied, according to the Inquisitr.

"I didn't know it was in the bathroom, and I walked in the (open) door, which closed right after I had walked in. I saw the tiger; it was at most two feet in front of me, and I turned around calmly and walked back toward the door ... It was the closest I have ever been to a tiger not in a cage. You don't expect to go in a bathroom door, have it shut behind you and see a tiger walking toward you," Krehbiel said of the incident, according to the Inquisitr.

Krehbiel estimated that the tiger must have more than 250 pounds.  She said that she did not scream or run due to the training that she had as a social worker, according to the Salina Journal.

Chris Bird, manager at the Bicentennial Center, said the tiger had escaped shortly after a performance and circus workers created a barricade after it had found its way into the woman's bathroom, however, Kriehbel had gone into the bathroom around the same time at the opposite entrance, according to the Inquisitr.

"Once she saw the tiger, I'm sure she knew to go the other way ... Overall, it was a scary, surreal moment. I am glad no one was hurt or injured," Bird said.

The tiger was captured within minutes and returned to its enclosure, according to the Daily Mail.

Although it was probably a very frightening experience for Krehbiel, she says that it was a point of humor to many others.  "My daughter wanted to know if it had washed its hands ... That was her only concern. I think that shows the thoughts of children and that they wouldn't have known there was danger," Krehbiel said, according to the Inquisitr.

She said that her friends pointed out the humorous connection between this incident and the bathroom scene in the movie, "The Hangover," during which a tiger belonging to Mike Tyson is found in the bathroom of the hotel, reported the Salina Journal.

Krehbiel said that her husband had talked to someone on the circus staff and was told that the animals are well trained and she was not at risk, according to the Salina Journal.
