It's a pretty well-known fact among "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans that "Vampire Diaries" heartthrob Ian Somerhalder is a hot contender to snag the kinky, seductive role of Christian Grey in E.L. James' erotic film-adoptation. But did fans also know that there's an entire Facebook page dedicated to the cause? Meanwhile, regarding Miss Steele rumors...
Apparently, 24-year-old HBO starlet Allison Williams has allegedly "landed the role." No confirmation from producers yet (duh) but that's the word around the web... again, probably just a bogus rumor, but who knows!
As Mstars originally reported:
Williams is one of the few actresses on the hit HBO comedy/drama "Girls" who has YET to film a nude scene (like producer Lena Dunham). According to Opposing Views, Williams said not too long ago - "Right now, I don't see myself ever doing nude scenes. Once you do them, you can't take it back because of the way Google Images works. I also think that unfortunately nudity seems to overshadow some of the more brilliant things that are going on."
Because of that, Williams was initially hesitant to express interest in the kinky role of Ana Steele - "I wouldn't take it... It is just too much for me but I applaud whatever actress steps up to the plate and I can't wait to watch it."
But now...
"I am reading [Fifty Shades of Grey]. I'm very intrigued by the book, very entertained by it," Williams said. "And I actually love riding the subway and seeing people reading their Kindles sort of surreptitiously [reading] and I'm always wondering whether or not they're reading Fifty Shades of Grey in secret... I'd have to read the script, but given that it's very explicit in nature, I would say that I'd leave that up to a daredevil ... we'll see."
Well that's a complete change of heart! Apparently Williams is rather turned on by the seductively charming Mr. Grey... wonder if she could transfer that passion onto the big screen!
Williams has that cute-and-innocent girl next look. Her character on "Girls" (Marnie Michaels) is a rather outspoken, headstrong individual... quite different from the quiet and introverted Ana Steele. But both characters are recent college graduates trying to find their place in the world as strong and independent women... while still attempting to satisfy their sexual desires and curiosities. Maybe it's the perfect fit!
So, what do "Fifty Shades" fan think about Somerhalder and Williams starring together in the highly-anticipated erotic film-adoptation (set to hit theaters in summer 2014)?
