Country songstress Carrie Underwood is not a fan of ag gag bills - and she recently hit up Twitter to express such avid opposition. Reports confirm that the "Blown Away" crooner's home state of Tennessee just passed an ag gag bill through to Governor Bill Haslam, and he's considering making it law. Underwood was not too pleased, and let her fans know it in an anti-ag gag Twitter rage. Check it out below - do Mstars readers agree with Underwood's views?

As the Inquisitr explains:

'Ag gag' laws effectively criminalize whistleblowing on factory farms, and would prevent journalists from exposing animal abuse, unsafe working conditions, and/or environmental problems on industrial farms.

Basically, these ag gag bills prohibit making undercover videos at agricultural sites. As opponents of the bill argue (including Underwood), such laws help farms/farmers in continuing to hide animal cruelty and/or food and labor safety violations.

States including Kansas, Montana, and North Dakota have implemented such ag gag laws since the early 1990s. Just last year Iowa passed one, and Tennessee lawmakers let one through to Governor Haslam last week. Underwood was not happy about it:

@carrieunderwood: "Shame on TN lawmakers for passing the Ag Gag bill. If Gov. Bill Haslam signs this, he needs to expect me at his front door. Who's with me?"

@carrieunderwood: "Some of you are asking me what Ag Gag laws are. Here you go... #NoAgGag" (with this link).

State Rep. Andy Holt (R-Dresden) shot back with:

@AndyHoltTN: "I would say that if Carrie Underwood will stick to singing, I'll stick to lawmaking."

And Underwood responded...

@carrieunderwood: "I should stick to singing? Wow...sorry, I'm just a tax paying citizen concerned for the safety of my family. #NoAgGag."

Several fans came to Underwood's defense, prompting Holt to tweet:

@AndyHoltTN: "@carrieunderwood Have you read the bill? I assume not. You are only going off your HSUS talking points. Use logic, not emotion."

Whose side are fans on - does Underwood have a right to be angry with Tennessee lawmakers over the impending ag gag bill?
