Danica Patrick, 37, has seen a lot of media exposure lately and her fellow Sprint Cup Racer, David Gilliland, suggests that she just 'shut up and race.'

In Sunday's race at Kansas Speedway, Patrick finished in a disappointing 25th place while Gilliland came in 23rd.

Gilliland responded to this threat through his spokeswomen, Shari Spiewak, in just four words, "Shut up and race."

Patrick's 25th place proved to be "her best intermediate track finish of 2013," according to USA Today.  She ranked over notable racers such as Juan Pablo Montoya and Bobby Labonte, according to yahoo! sports.  However, she believed that it could have been better.

She was upset because a piece of litter that landed on the front grille of her No. 10 Chevrolet and caused her water temperatures to rise, which ultimately forced an unscheduled pit stop that dropped her from the lead lap to two laps down.

"We started out pretty good, but we just got tight in the second half of the race," Patrick said in a team release, according to USA Today. "We had a tire rub at one point and issues with the splitter from some contact we made. The trash on the grille was what really hurt us today."

"It's disappointing because I think we could have had a much better finish with the Go Daddy car, but (trash on the grille) is one of those things that's out of our control," she said, according to AOL. "The pit crew was awesome."

Tony Gibson, her crew chief responded to her negativity over the team radio at the end of the race saying, "Be proud of yourself.  You drove a hell of a race today. You can't do nothing about the grille there, so be proud of yourself.  You hung in there all day. You did a great job on restarts. You had a good car. We know we should have been about 15th. We made some gains, we'll learn and go on," according to AOL.

Patrick was not available for interviews after the race and there have been no reports that she has followed through with her threats of a face-to-face confrontation, reported the Toronto Sun.
