Motorola announced last month that they will be rolling out new phones with new cool features plus bonus Daydream VR compatibility before the year ends. Now the long wait is over because Moto Z and Moto Z Force flagship phones from Motorola will be available this week with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

The latest Nougat OS will allow Moto Z and Moto Z Force users to receive an update to use Daydream VR. Take note that these Motorola phones will be the first non-Google mobile handsets that will be compatible with the Daydream. The Daydream VR is a virtual reality headset that was initially launched last month together with Google's phones Pixel and Pixel XL.

The Official Motorola Blog announced the arrival of the new phones this week and said that the Android Nougat 7.0 will be available globally this week as well. Moto Z and Moto Z Force have been distinctly certified to work with the Daydream platform because these phones have a higher resolution displays, improved graphics and high-fidelity sensors for precision head tracking.

Daydream is currently the most updated VR technology in the market that provides users great virtual reality experiences using their Android phones. Daydream VR lets users view sporting events, watch concerts, check out movies and so much more with cinematic quality video. To use Daydream, a Google VR headset and a controller is a must. At present, the Daydream View is available at Best Buy and Verizon and may also be purchased at the Google Store for US customers.

Meanwhile, Venture Beat revealed that there is more to the improved features of Motorola flagship phones why Google chose to start offering their Daydream VR platform on its new phones.

Motorola is owned by Lenovo which was previously under Google. Lenovo is still making a huge impact in the Android marketplace which could be one of the reasons Motorola received the VR update first. It is also rumored that Lenovo will be switching their handset lineup to Moto next year.
