'Brady Bunch' Mom Florence Henderson Dies of Heart Failure Thanksgiving Night

Florence Henderson, TV icon and actress known for her role as Carol Brady in 'The Brady Bunch' has passed away Thursday night at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles due to heart failure. The news was confirmed by her manager Kayla Pressman who said that Henderson was unwell a couple of days  before she was hospitalized. Henderson was 82 years old.

According to Variety, Henderson was still active in the Hollywood industry with her most recent cameo at the ABC's show 'Dancing with the Stars.' She was reportedly there to support her "Brady Bunch" co-star Maureen McCormick who was part of the dancing show.

McCormick who knew of the news offered her condolences and good words for Henderson. She played Marcia Brady on "The Brady Bunch," the TV daughter of the late actress. She tweeted that Henderson was a close friend and will remain to be so and sent her condolences to the family. 

Mail Online reports that in addition to McCormick, the rest of the 'Dancing with the Stars' members also shared a few kind words about Henderson as she was also a contestant at the show twice. Other actors who paid tribute to the 'Brady Bunch' mom were actresses Patricia Arquette, Marlee Maitlin and pro-dancer Sasha Farber.

'The Brady Brunch' was a beloved family sitcom that premiered in 1969 and ran until 1974. The show was hailed iconic and Henderson reportedly still kept touch and remained close with her TV family since the show ended. Henderson also appeared in several spinoffs of the sitcom including 'The Brady Brides,' 'The Bradys' "and more together with her TV husband, Robert Reed and most of the original cast.
