The scripted VH1 reality Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta is back!!! The show kicked off last night with the drama straight out the gate. Mimi was the first character introduced in Season 2 as her three-way with Stevie J and Joseline continues to unfold.
Check the video:
The first episode starts off with Stevie, Mimi and their daughter Eva in the bed together, as Mimi spent the night in Joseline's bed. Joseline is infuriated that Mimi stayed over unexpectedly, and requests that she be dismissed. Mimi continues to use her daughter as the link between she and Stevie, stating that she will move in in order to keep Joseline, away from their daughter.
Joseline does not seem to care; she is continuing to make music in the studio. However, she is tired of Stevie juggling between Mimi, "Molly the Maid,"and herself "The Puerto Rican Princess." Joseline finally confronts Stevie about treating her like a prostitute, while she continues to accept gifts for his adulterous ways.
The funniest part of the triangle was when Stevie J left Mimi AGAIN for Joseline! After 15-years Mimi still doesn't get it. She stooped to Joseline's level of derogatory vulgar rhetoric, unfortunately Joseline is still winning.
Moving on to the next Love & Hip Hop Atlanta love triangle: Scrappy, Erica, and Shay, and the occasional participation of Mama Dee. Erica got her engagement ring appraised and saw how much her ring was worth, a whopping $21,000. Erica smiled, while her mother still held reservations about her and Scrappy's relationship. Erica's mom is not the only one who does not think s that she and Scrappy will not work, Mama Dee shares the same sentiments.
According to Shay she had no idea about Scrappy and Erica's engagement or relationship, so she went crying to the only person in her corner, Mama Dee. Mama Dee and Shay conspire to tare down Scrappy and Erica's blissful union, as Mama Dee warns, "just what change is coming."
Since the show is called Love & Hip Hop (or R&B since there aren't any rap stars on the show, well maybe Rasheeda (LOL)) let's move onto the music. K. Michelle has a new record deal with Warner Brother Records, however she has the same aggressive and non-international star attitude.
Although, K. Michelle distracted with her record deal, but can't resist succumbing to the LLHHA drama. Erica, K. Michelle, Ariane, and Mimi have a sit down at Erica's Engagement party (which lacked other guests by the way) about how Ariane slept with K Michelle's man, and never told her. Some friend? You could cut the tension between Ariane and K with a knife. It appears as though Ariane will be more vocal this season, but what could she possibly have to say? Will her scandalous ways be revealed this season?
K and Ariane made up, and proved that "there is Love & Hip Hop."
Benzino still makes his cameo. Last season he was focusing on Karlie Redd's music career, but in the first episode he introduces fans to his new hustle as an on air radio host in Atlanta.
Karlie Redd, Rasheeda, and new couple Chris Brown's DJ were missing from episode one, but they will appear somewhere this season.
Are your ready for the drama?
