Cliff Richard, Terry Wogan vie for the no. 1 spot in Christmas chart

Cliff Richard is releasing his single on Christmas as part of his comeback but this is going to be a competition between him and Terry Wogan. This battle will determine who will be in a number 1 spot on Christmas. Both singers are now in their own ways on how to promote their albums.

According to IRISH MIRROR, Cliff Richard will be releasing his album, a special mix of the track on November 25. Richard's album will be soon available to all listeners on iTunes and he added an extra track for fans to be grateful. The track will be released as a special edition will include in the CD and a self-written personal message for his fans.

Richard's team set up a Facebook page since he is not chosen to be the Official Children In Need. The campaign's video has been shared and watched by thousand times on social media. Richard has so much history on releasing songs around a joyful season and also made it number one way back in 1960.

Meanwhile, RTE reported that Terry Wogan makes a new campaign that has been launched, which made Terry Wogan is on top of music charts. A broadcaster who fight the battle of cancer died just this year, releases a version of Wagon's folk song "The Floral Dance" in 1978 that is now reached number 21 in UK charts.

Terry Wogan's campaign group sets up a Facebook page which entitled Campaign to get Terry's The Floral dance to this year's Official Christmas Number One song, to ensure that he will make it all the way on top this time. The team persuades the fans to download the song in the middle of December, where they compiled the official Christmas charts.

The campaign already receives Chris Evans support. It took from Terry on BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show and currently gave a spin on the show. When Children In Need single did not choose the song, over 26,000 people is already supported the online campaign which Wogan hosted an event from the beginning way back 1980 until 2014.

The contenders for this Christmas Number One will include James Cordin, Justin Bieber, and David Bowie. And of course the music fans can bet the classics one like The Pogues and Slade, even Jeremy Corbyn make a Christmas single in a bid.
