Reese Witherspoon has canceled interviews about her new movie, 'Mud,' including appearances on "Good Morning America" and "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" after she and her husband, Jim Toth, were arrested in Atlanta on Friday.

In a statment on Sunday Witherspoon said, "I clearly had one drink too many, and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said."

She was going to be making an appearance at the ABC show at 10 a.m. yesterday for an interview to air tomorrow and to attend Fallon's show this evening, according to the New York Post.  Sources said, however, that she bailed after the news of her arrest for disorderly conduct came out on Sunday.

Meanwhile, her co-star Matthew McConaughey went ahead with planned interviews yesterday on "GMA," "The View" and the "Late Show with David Letterman," according to The Post.

The court date for Witherspoon and her husband in Atlanta was moved from yesterday to May 22, according to The Post.

Sunday night, hours after the news of the arrest broke, Witherspoon attended her the premiere of her movie "Mud" at the MoMA, according to The Post.  A source said, "her team was grappling all day as to whether she should show up."

Witherspoon walked the red carpet but did not speak with reporters, while Toth "sneaked into a side entrance," another source said.  "Like a true Hollywood agent, Toth was seen 'smiling and talking up the film' to guests, despite Friday's run-in with the law," said The Post.

Despite this act, a source told People Magazine that Toth said he "feels awful that he involved Reese in the situation."  He was arrested for a DUI and will likely face more series consequences than his wife.

A source said that, the couple stayed for introduction of the film, and then "slipped off after the lights went down."  "This time they had a driver," the source added to The Post.  The also skipped the after party at Harlow sponsored by Levi's and Fiji.

"We don't comment on our schedule changes, which are always subject to change," an NBC representative told The Post in a statement concerning the Fallon cancellation.
