Christmas Day:Dolly Parton ‘Christmas of Many Colors’;Jennifer Nettles ‘CMA Country Christmas'

Dolly Parton really loves Christmas Day, and now, the singer's 'Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love' is now made for TV movie. While Jennifer Nettles will be hosting the Country Music Awards (CMA Country Christmas) for the seventh time this year.

Orlando Sentinel reported the return of the country queen Dolly Parton on TV. The singer will perform on Wednesday on NBC for the NBC's "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" at 8 p.m. This Christmas Day special will feature biggest holiday stars including Neil Diamond, Tony Bennett, Garth Brooks, Josh Groban and Trisha Yearwood.

That's not all, for Dolly Parton will return to TV in her made for TV movie "Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love" which would be premiered on Wednesday night, November 30, according to The Boot. This TV series is a Christmas Day special wherein Dolly will play as the Painted Lady.

"Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love" is a sequel to the 2015's "Coat of Many Colors" film that explores about Dolly Parton's humble childhood with her fondest memories. Dolly recently shared her experiences that time, "We, as children, and my dad, all made up money one Christmas Day to buy Mama a wedding ring."

The "Christmas of Many Colors" will show meaningful stories of Dolly Parton's childhood. More so, she hand-picked the actors whom she wanted to star in the film made for TV. She chose Jennifer Nettles to reprise her role as young Dolly's mother.

"When Jennifer sent her audition tape in, she had her hair dark, and she looked like Mama. And I didn't realize it, but it was just meant to be," Dolly recalls how she selected Jennifer Nettles. "I really do believe that some things are meant to be... It's so important that all the people really represent my brothers and my sister, and my mom and dad."

On the other hand, Jennifer Nettles finally returns to hosts the 'CMA Country Christmas' which will be aired on NBC at 8 p.m. Monday. It's the annual Christmas Day hoedown at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. Among her other stars to show in this event are seasonal favorite singers, Idina Menzel, Brad Paisley, Amy Grant, Kelly Clarkson, Brett Eldredge, Loretta Lynn and Andra Day.

Aside from Dolly Parton and Jennifer Nettles' Christmas Day surprises for the fans, there are other shows from popular singers, actors, and actresses coming around. But for now, enjoy Christmas Day's special TV series "Christmas of Many Colors" and "CMA Country Christmas on NBC.
