Sombra is the latest hero to join the permanent roster of Overwatch. Blizzard has kept the character under wraps and teased her for months until she was finally unveiled with a short clip to introduce her in the game. Now, Street Fighter 5 players will have the chance to play her too as a skin mod for Laura Matsuda.

Overwatch Sombra is known for being a powerful hacker and a stealth offense hero in the game. It seems she has transcended from the game to join Street Fighter 5 as a skin mod created by TheJamK. Laura Matsuda from Street Fighter 5 has been noted as looking similar to Sombra and the modder has successfully melded the two using the skin mod.

PC Gamer reports that the mod creator TheJamK has also created skins for other Overwatch characters in Street Fighter 5 as well. The modder has reportedly made a D.Va skin for Karin, Reinhardt skin for Zangief and R.Mika for Mei. According to the modder, him creating the Sombra skin mod for Laura is "obvious" due to their similar hairstyles and coloring. However, the colors aren't exactly the same because of the difficulty and for an easier transition to an alternative color scheme. The Sombra skin mod for Street Fighter 5 can be downloaded at TheJamK's Patreon page.

Street Fighter 5 is created by gaming company Capcom and they plan to support the game until 2020. They are aggressive in their campaign to have more players play the game so that it will become a mainstay in eSports much like how Blizzard's Overwatch is. Producer Yoshinori Ono said that when more people are playing Street Fighter 5 game tournaments, the more it will be easier for them to host bigger ones in the future, VG247 noted.

Street Fighter 5 is available for purchase in PS4 standard and Collector's Edition. Blizzard's Overwatch game is also available online as well.
