George Harrison was well known and recognized for his work with the Beatles but the Star also became the first former Beatle member after he released "My Sweet Lord" back in 1970. Harrison got extra fame from his signature song "All things must pass."

Like his song it was true that all things must pass at some point of time, Harrison was fading out as he battled with lung cancer in 2000. It was then that Harrison changed the song "My Sweet Lord" from its original version as per the People.

Though the artist was famous for his time he was also found guilty for plagiarizing Chiffon's 1963 hit "He's So Fine." Nothing really mattered about Harrison and his plagiarism issues because of his contribution to the music world.

Harrison also let his son Dhani Harrison to give his inputs while he used his original session tapes as a base to create something extra for his anniversary issue. He took the opportunity for himself to re-do his slide guitar solo as stated on Yahoo.

When Harrison overdubbed the original track he actual voice sounded much more thin and brittle, perhaps it was his age that caught up to him at that time. But he certainly wanted to do something new before his death since he knew that he had a little time left.

Despite battling with lung cancer he gave it his best shot till the end and it was only months after "My Sweet Lord" (2000) was issued when death crept in.

He gave his last energy for his 30th anniversary edition of his breakdown album. There were also reports that said Harrison had many other tracks which were not released, some of it was half way composed and some were almost on the verge of getting released.

George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord" (2000) is available on Amazon including his older tracks like the Best of George Harrison and All Things Must Pass
