Amber Heard Says, 'Domestic Violence Can Be Mental And Emotional'

Amber Heard expressed her ill-feeling about the domestic abuse she went through from ex-husband Johnny Depp. The actress brings out her deep emotion with courage to call the attention of other victims of household abuse.

In May, the "Drive Angry" actress arranged her divorce with Johnny Depp. It was following her claims that the actor was 'verbally and physically abusive' throughout their relationship.

Amber made her stand and now talking about her concern about domestic violence in a public disclosure for Girl Gaze Project. The team revealed the video to YouTube Friday, November 25 signifying the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Towards Women.

The 30-year-old actress became progressively full of feeling and striving back tears. It was believed that the recording of Amber was done at home.

Amber started her statement questioning herself. "How is this happening to me? I'm strong, smart; I'm not a victim."

The actress simplified assuming there was a lot of disgrace bounded to that word "victim." "It happens to so many women you know. When it happens in your home behind closed doors with someone, you love, it's not straightforward. If a stranger did this, it would be a no-brainier."

She is thankful for having decent friends who comfort and being present by her side. Reaching to them provides a pretty much of a help from her situation.

Amber encouraged women who are enduring household brutality. "Speak up. Raise your voice. Your voice is the most powerful thing and we, together, as women standing shoulder to shoulder, cannot and will not any longer accept silence."

As stated in the Huffpost Living, Heard, previously filed for a domestic violence restraining order against ex-husband Johnny Depp but then she pulled it back. She calls up TV audience that domestic abuse is not constantly physical; it can, likewise, be mental and emotional.
