Amazon's Lab126 is reportedly working on a voice-activated speaker with a 7-inch touch screen codenamed "Knight." Amazon might unveil it as a top-notched version of Echo.

Bloomberg reported that Amazon R&D Lab126 is undergoing a process to create a premium Echo-like Speaker, which will house a jumbo 7-inch touchscreen for controls. If reports are true then the upcoming Echo speaker will be paired with Amazon's Alexa Digital Assistant which is similar to other Amazon products like Echo Dot, Echo and Tap speakers; however, the cool thing is that the upcoming Echo Speaker will have a 7-inch screen to control its many features.

In addition, it was also reported that it wouldn't be surprising if  Echo will use an optimized and enhance version Amazon's Fire OS. Currently the concerned companies have yet to release if Alexa Digital Assistant fused with Echo Speaker will go in sync or not.

According to Yahoo, Amazon Echo Speaker may be launched in the first quarter of 2017, which will be fun to see if it will surpass its predecessors' previous trend. It was highlighted that speculations started soon after Google launched its Google Home, which is also a Digital Assistant for Android devices. A similar product is expected to be unveiled by Apple in the coming months.

Since major competitors around the globe are practicing fierce approach towards launching their own Digital Assistant for smartphones and other devices, it is remarkable that artificial intelligence has taken an agile pace which was once part of everyone's imagination years ago.

Nevertheless, Amazon opted to keep mum on the upcoming Echo Speaker. Amazon Fire Tablet and Echo Dot makes up a great combo to listen to your favorite songs or to watch a movie or try Amazon Echo with Alexa which was updated this October.
