Heading intomid-Week 4 of the MLB 2013 regular season, ESPN sports analysts predict the season outlook team power rankings. The Cardinals continue into the 2013 regular season at the no 9 spot - as sports columnist Matt Philip points out, "Carlos Beltran heated up (three home runs/.400 OBP/.792 SLG for the week), but the Cardinals slipped out of first place as they split a four-game series with the Phillies." 

St. Louis currently holds a 12-8 winning record, having already played the Diamondbacks, Giants, Reds, Brewers, Pirates, and Phillies. The Cardinals defeated the Nationals in both Game 1 and 2 of the series.

The Nationals snag the no 4 overall spot (out of 30 teams). According to Harper Gordek, "The real surprise during this slow start for the Nationals has been the fielding woes. The Nats' 18 errors, led by Ryan Zimmerman's four and Ian Desmond's seven, are tops in the majors."

Washington has 10 wins and 10 losses heading into Wednesday's game after playing the Marlins (twice), Reds, White Sox, Braves, and Mets.
