Rapper Trina's Brother Wilbrent 'Gonk' Bain Shot, Killed in Miami [PHOTO/VIDEO]: Songstress Mourns Loss, Murder Suspect Ron Dobson Confesses

Reports confirm that the 24-year-old brother of former Slip-N-Slide Records rapper Trina was shot and killed in Miami earlier this week. According to friends who live in the neighborhood, Wilbrent "Gonk" Bain allegedly got into a verbal altercation with 27-year-old Ron Dobson on Tuesday morning (April 23). Dobson pulled out a gun and began shooting at the unarmed Bain. Trina's brother was pronounced dead at the scene. Dobson was arrested and later confessed to the murder.

"Gonk" was fatally shot after hopping off of his bike outside of his mother's home at Northwest 91st Street and 24th Avenue at about 9:35 a.m. on Tuesday. Authorities claim that Bain and Dobson had been in an ongoing feud for quite some time. Dobson allegedly approached on his own bicycle and pulled the gun from his waistband. Bain, a father of two, died at the scene.

Just hours after the fatal shooting, Dobson was arrested and confessed to the crime. He was then charged with second degree murder.

Trina is a popular rapper/songwriter/model and Miami native. Considered "the most consistent female rapper of all time" by XXL Magazine, some of the 34-year-old songstress' hits include "Here We Go," "Pull Over," and "Million Dollar Girl."

Neighbors told NBC 6 that Bain and the man who shot him were friends and lived around the corner from each other at Northwest 91st Street and 24th Avenue. Mutual friends said they think an ongoing fight between the two got out of hand.
