Politicians always love to be in a positive light for image matters for them the most. But for British politician Ed Miliband, things didn't go as he would have liked it since a photograph of him blowing his nose was recently shown on a US news bulletin as an example of a man hit by flu.

The photo, which was taken at a Labour Party conference in 2011 showed the former Leader of the Labour Party cleaning his nostrils with a white handkerchief. It was reported that the producers at NBC News which showed the image was unaware of Miliband's identity and used it to present a report on flu vaccinations.

The image of Miliband, 47, was shown while the newsreader reported about the arrival of the flu season and the rise of fresh concerns. She said not enough people were taking the vaccinations and the health officials were ready with fresh guidance about a nasal vaccine.

This is not the first time that Miliband, who hoped to the next British prime minister but fell back after the crushing defeat in the 2015 general election, has found himself at the receiving end of image mockery. In 2014, the same leader found himself widely mocked after a picture of him eating a bacon sandwich featured on the front page of the 'Sun' tabloid.

Miliband spoke on the episode later as he told that there are "people who look better eating a bacon sandwich". He even said that if one is looking for a politician who thought a good photo was the most important thing, then he certainly was not the person to vote for.

Poor Ed Miliband. He did whatever he could to save his image though the final results did not go in his favor.

This time, however, he tackled it with more fun. Miliband joked saying he was "proud" of the "new role in international health promotion" after his image appeared.

Miliband, the MP for Doncaster North in Central UK, underwent a nose surgery to deal with respiratory sleep problem in July 2011, months before the image was taken.
