Vin Diesel took to Instagram a tribute message to dearly departed actor Paul Walker who will no longer be gracing the upcoming "The Fate of the Furious" movie. This is the first sequel without the deceased actor.

As the release date of the movie is fast approaching in April 2017, Diesel shared a photo of him and Walker receiving an award way back in 2002. Both actors have made a deep bond with each other after the countless of installments from "The Fast and the Furious" franchise. He has mentioned many times that the journey of the previous installment has been tough for him. Even during the launch of "The Fate of the Furious" trailer earlier this month, the 49-year-old actor who portrays Dominic Toretto asserted that they have worked really hard to live up to the expectations of Walker, according to MTV News.

The heartbreaking caption from Diesel's post says:

"The arduous road to production, the challenging task of filming this latest chapter. The record-breaking trailer debut and the shocked world at what the dark road implied... you Pablo have given me strength... purpose and resolve. I promised you we would make something you would be proud of and I pray that we have... miss you."

Since Walker's untimely car crash, which resulted to his death in 2013, the cast of "The Fast and the Furious" have continued to honor the actor's legacy in every way that they can. It was in 2002 when Diesel and Walker took home the MTV Movie Award for Best On-Screen Duo for their work in "The Fast and the Furious." Fast forward in 2014, both again received the same honor, however, this time around, Walker was no longer present to grace the spotlight alongside Diesel.

Returning for "The Fate of the Furious" will release across Australia on April 12, 2017, and Paul Walker will definitely be missed. Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto), Dwayne Johnson (Luke Hobbs), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz), Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce), Chris "Ludacris" Bridges (Tej Parker), Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw), Elsa Pataky (Elena Neve), Nathalie Emmanuel (Ramsey) and Kurt Russell (Frank Petty). The newcomers for the final outing are Charlize Theron (Cipher), Scott Eastwood (law enforcement agent) and Helen Mirren (undisclosed role).

In a lighter note, Diesel will also be reprising his role as Xander Cage for XXX 3, check out the high-octane speedster chasing scene as mentioned in Cinema Blend.
