Spin-off series Fuller House will be given a revival kick as new episodes will be turning out for 2017. The upcoming 3rd season for "Fuller House" will be exclusively released on Netflix.

According to Huffington Post, the news was made public courtesy of posts from a variety of social media platforms. Will this return to the video on demand company continue to generate a wave of nostalgia for the successful 80s' "Full House" franchise?

"Holiday wishes, answered. Fuller House Season 3, coming 2017," the show's official Twitter account said. The same type of messages appeared also on both the series' Facebook and Instagram accounts.

The renewal news comes as little surprise as the show experienced a hasty ratings drop for its second season, according to Cinema Blend. Fuller House was a surprise hit for Netflix when its first season debuted back in February of 2016, and it got a renewal order for a second season almost right away. The  first season in viewership rivaled that of the most popular TV shows on the air, such as "The Walking Dead" and "Sunday Night Football."

"Fuller House" is the millennial extension of the '90s ABC series "Full House," with animal physician D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron-Bure) recently widowed and now staying in San Francisco. She is joined by her younger sister/aspiring musician Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and D.J.'s lifelong best friend/fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), along with Kimmy's spirited teen daughter Ramona, all move in to help take care of D.J.'s three boys - the defiant 12-year-old Jackson, irrational 7-year-old Max and her newborn baby, Tommy Jr.

Bob Boyett and Jeff Franklin serve as executive producers. "Fuller House" is produced by Miller-Boyett Productions and Jeff Franklin Productions in association with Warner Horizon Television for Netflix.
