Sherlock's four season premiere and first episode of the year wasn't for fans much Holmes regular storytelling. This Sunday started "The Six Thatchers" which was considered "boring" for many. The main characters interpretation looked uncomfortable on screen and a little bit awkward to watch, shared by latest episode reviews.

The episode even received comments of being "sexist" about Sherlock's bus scene after the actor approach a lady and starts sending her notes.

Formal writer Mark Gatiss presented on this first episode small dialogues with no much emotional interaction between Sherlock and John, especially after Mary's death on season three. The editing and montage effects took a major place in the narrative, very different on what audience saw on past seasons.

Sherlock's humor and sense of fun wasn't on that first episode, some quoted. The playful interaction with his crime buddy John Watson (Martin Freeman) and about last season inclusion relation with John's ex-wife Mary (Amanda Abbignton) changed. This trade is part of the show appealing but apparently loss on this season, shares about the cast Vox News.

The controversy that surrounds this premiere starts with the Holmes story selection. The classic Holmes "The Adventure of the Six Napoleons" by Arthur Conan Doyle's Victorian Sherlock Holmes canon, now retitled "The Six Thatchers" on this occasion to embody a more exiting political background about Sherlock's original, probably a marketing strategy aspect.

The initial story presents a scene when all Margaret Thatcher's statues seem broken and smashed down at someone's residence. Sherlock remarks why this happening, questioning the event like a crime investigation that needs to be solved. In the Britain political history is a fact that people nowadays celebrate Thatcher's death. The crime is actually kind of solved by the British audience.

For some reason the episode has not interesting narrative for a four season series. Past two seasons were well reviewed by the fans. Season one "A Study In Pink" other Conan Doyle's story by original "A Study In Scarlet". Season two "The Hound Of Baskervilles" as well written by the same author, all based mostly on Conan's short crime stories rather than Sherlock's original, explain Bustle News.

Hopefully the next episodes can redeem the effects of the promo to a brand new optimistic perspective of Sherlock's series, season four.
