In November, Qualcomm has revealed the details about the new SD 835, including the benefits of the new die shrink to 10nm. 2017 is expected to be a great year for Qualcomm as the company plans to sample its 5G chip and have it ready for early 2018 live trials.

The Snapdragon 835 will be the first processor created exactly to run full Windows 10 on mobile devices. Qualcomm has already detailed the chip and will launch it at CES 2017 this week.

Reports say that ahead of CES, basically every important info about the Snapdragon 835 has been leaked. The official press release for processor is likely to have been leaked by the popular leaker Evan Blass also known as @evleaks.

According to the leaked press release, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 will feature the Qualcomm Kryo 280 CPU (quad-core), Qualcomm Adreno 540 GPU, and Qualcomm Hexagon DSP to manage different workloads. All of this together will result in a 27% increase in performance when it is compared to the previous generation.

The Snapdragon 835 is the first ARM processor, which is capable of running Windows 10. The company has teamed up with Microsoft to bring full Windows 10 to ARM devices, and we should start seeing Windows 10 devices powered by the Snapdragon 835 later this year.

The CES launch will not be the first time we have seen the Snapdragon 835. Certainly, Qualcomm officially announced the chipset last month, counting details of the specs. Now the official press release for the processor has leaked just days before Qualcomm fully launches the chipset. Strangely, in the leaked press release, Qualcomm makes little mention of the ARM Windows support.

The above slide tells us quite a bit that we didn't know before. Another one speaks, "We're powering up for #CES2017 with #Snapdragon 835". That will be paired with an Adreno 540 GPU that is a withdrawal from the company's norm, which is to produce a new generation for the new flagship chipset. The X16 LTE modem on the Snapdragon 835 SoC is the first chipset to have a gigabit-class LTE modem.

Qualcomm is also working on its proprietary Quick Charge 4.0 technology that will be having power up batteries 20 percent faster compared to QC 3.0 This will potentially grant the smartphone with 50 percent of battery life after being plugged in for just 5 minutes using the QC 4.0-compatible power brick and the bundled charging cable.
