2016 was a big year for The Chainsmokers with hits like Closer, All We Know Don't Let Me Down, and it seems that 2017 will be no different.

The duo of Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart recently performed their latest single about Paris during their sold out performance at the Los Angeles Convention Center, which they said will be released very soon, MTV reported.

Fans at the show leaked amateur videos from the concert and posted them on social media sites like Twitter, immediately sparking excitement from the pair's supporters. The Chainsmokers performed the whole track at the show but fans were still kept guessing who the female vocals belonged to.

Early last year, there was strong speculation that the duo was working with Selena Gomez but when they tweeted a clue in August, fans were more inclined to connect the dots.

The duo tweeted singer French singer Louane Emera who gained fame for her stint with The Voice France. Fans are speculating that the collaboration between Louanne and the boys could be the new track given the French connection of the lyrics of the song and the singer's nationality, reported Your EDM.

But that's not all. According to a post by Billboard, aside from the hot new track, fans at the show were treated to a guest performance by 90s boy band the Backstreet Boys who performed their top hits Larger Than Life and I Want It That Way to the delight of the crowd.

The show also featured a performance from Big Sean. It was all a love fest on Twitter among the artists after the show. The Backstreet Boys thanked The Chainsmokers for having them on stage and the duo promptly gave props to the hitmakers.

"A massive thanks to the Backstreet Boys for smashing it so hard! Y'all stole the show!," they said while for Big Sean, they also sent their love. "We were taking notes watching you!" they said to the rapper.
