It seems that the late Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher's message to her mother Debbie Reynolds in her latest book "The Princess Diarist" has taken a new meaning after Debbie died a day after her daughter.

In the acknowledgement section of the book , Carrie tried a light approach to Debbie's recent health scares but it was obvious in her message that the family was worried over her condition.

"For my mother - for being too stubborn and thoughtful to die. I love you, but that whole emergency, almost dying thing, wasn't funny. Don't even THINK about doing it again in any form," she wrote on the book.

It seemed that Debbie heeded her request but the pain of losing Carrie proved too much for her to bear. People reported.

Carrie, who enjoyed a very close relationship with her mother tragically died when she went under cardiac arrest while on board a flight to Los Angeles from London last December 23. She was rushed to a hospital and died four days later at the age of 60.

The actress who rose to fame as Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise, made a name for herself in the industry by expanding her portfolio from actress, to screenwriter, to producer. Fisher was known in the entertainment industry for her acerbic and famous quips and reportedly completed filming for Star Wars Episode VIII prior to her passing.

"Please stop debating about whether OR not [eye emoji] aged well. unfortunately it hurts all 3 of my feelings. My BODY hasn't aged as well as I have," she said about fans comparing how original actors have aged over the years.

A day after her passing, her mother Debbie also succumbed to a stroke at the age of 84. According to her son, Todd, his mother's heartbreaking last words after learning of Carrie's death was: "I miss her so much, I want to be with Carrie."
