On Monday night, rapper artist Pharrell Williams received on stage the winner cast of "Hidden Figures" a movie produced by him. The singer asked the audience to applaud the actresses and saying that it was a historic moment, refereeing to women achievements on films. Contradictory of what is normally seen on his promotional albums themes.

The speech gave him a front page in New York Times website the next morning. The promotional film is a self-proclaimed issue much seen in the Hollywood scene also in society nowadays like he says, "the pro-male narrative" needs to be changed once for all.

Pharrell shares that is necessary to open space about women roles that acknowledge the audience of their power in the world actually, shared on Esquire News.

Quoting William's words told during an interview on UK stylish magazine, "So when I hear people say 'power women,' it's not possible to empower women. It's just necessary for women to remember their power. Power is a perception and it's one that you guys [women] were raised to ignore and believe something that's false, like a male-dominated world." Information referred by Pop Sugar News.

The female audience remember his promotional featuring with Robin Thicke called "Blurred Lines" which brings him lots of criticism because of the sexism points out of the lyrics so misogynist signs. By some people in the audience that song gives some of a "rapey" vibe.

To remove the error or out takes after that incident, he explained that the 2014 album called "Girl" was a feminist and pro-women sample or a "21th century take on feminism" how he recalls, considering not much people believes it.

The artist later had to justify most of the lines written on the album that shows the opposite meaning of pro-women example.

Pharrell is making an effort to be part of this pro-feminism movement in the world. Recently Williams included himself into a promotional event by the Swedish Feminist Initiative Party when he said ""Let's give women a shot for once in a while to try to run this world."

Apparently the artist is aware in a certain level about the importance to overlap the injustice seen in the world about women rights issues in the arts and as part of society.
