Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds to be buried together in Los Angeles

For their entire lives, mother and daughter Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher shared a very close relationship. And even in death, the bond will not be broken as they will reportedly be holding a joint memorial on Thursday.

Star Wars icon Carrie Fisher, who famously played Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise , died at the age of 60 after suffering from a cardiac arrest while on board a flight to Los Angeles on December 23. She was taken to the Los Angeles hospital and died four days later on December 27.

Her mother, Hollywood icon Debbie Reynolds, who was best known for her role in Singin' in the Rain, died the following day due to a stroke. She was 84.

According to her son Todd, her mother's last words before she suffered a stroke were: "I miss her so much. I want to be with Carrie."

Before she passed, Reynolds even shared her gratitude for all those who remembered her daughter through social media site Facebook.

In a separate interview, Todd said that he believes that his mother did not die of a broken heart but simply wanted to be with his sister.

A very private memorial will be held for the mother and daughter on Thursday at their Beverly Hills compound where they lived next door to each other and their bodies will be laid to rest in an equally private affair, People reported.

The pair will be buried at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles, where they will be laid to rest among their friends like Liberace and Better Davis.

 "We're broken-hearted, those of us that are left behind. We also are happy that they're together. It's horrible, it's beautiful, it's magical they are together, it's beyond words, it's beyond understanding," Todd said in an interview with 20/20.
