If you, like me, believe that Kanye West albums can be ranked in almost chronological order (barring 808's and Heartbreak, obviously), then you are in for a treat. The wondrous people of the internet have unearthed previously unreleased Yeezy demos circa 2001, a.k.a. Kanye at his most relatable.

The tracks include original versions of songs we know, unmixed versions of tracks we love, songs with extra verses and even a few unreleased gems. I, for one, am super excited to have more Kanye from the time before he got all up in his own head and started making videos with bird-women in them. Back when he was still known as the master sampler with a record collection to rival Tarantino's film stocks. Back when he made songs that were fun and vibrant for people who (like him, at the time) were trying to grind out a living. He's still great, of course. But it's in this cold, distant, "look inside the mind of a man who has the world at his feet" kind of way. His late output is interesting (and probably ART) but it just doesn't ride the way the "College" trilogy does.

Tracklist

1. Home (Windy)
2. Jesus Walks (Original Version)
3. Have It Your Way (Demo Version of Bring Me Down)
4. Out Of Your Mind (Unmixed)
5. Wow! (w/ new verses)
6. Need To Know (Orginal ORIGINAL "Gangsta" Version)
7. Gotta Pose (Snippet, was going to be single I guess)
8. Never Letting Go
9. Hey Mama (High Quality Original)
10. Know The Game (Unreleased)
11. Family Business (2001 Unreleased)
13. Dream Come True (All Falls Down Demo)
14. DJ Boom Freestyle (Jigga That N*****)
15. DJ Boom Freestyle (I Met Oprah)
**BONUS TRACK** Heartbeat (instrumental made around the time this tape came out)

Anyway, the demo tape is available for the price of a chicken sandwich and some waffle fries ("FOR FREE!"). Click the links below for to download.
