Confirmed: Fatal Stroke Caused Debbie Reynold’s Death

It's confirmed. Debbie Reynold's cause of death was a massive stroke after a blood vessel burst in her vain. This according to the death certificate that TMZ acquired on Monday.

Details reveal that the Singin' in the Rain star was due to an intracerebral hemorrhage and hypertension (high blood pressure) as the underlying cause. Reynolds passed away at the age of 84 years old on December 28 a day after her daughter Carrie Fisher died from heart attack. The former was confined at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA.

The news from TMZ came as a shock to fans as the mother and duo daughter were just featured in an HBO documentary entitled Bright Lights. It premiered at Cannes and was directed by Alexis Bloom and Fisher Stevens. The documentary told the story of the pair's life together the past sixty years and their individual Hollywood careers. Fisher was an American actress and writer. She is best known for playing the role of Princess Leia in Star Wars: Episode VII- The Force Awakens.

Fisher and Reynolds were buried at the Forrest Lawn in California following a joint funeral on Friday. The Star Wars star and her famous mom also got a tribute at the Golden Globes on Sunday. The tribute showed Reynold's performing You Made Me Love You from the musical Irene. There were also scenes from Star Wars, Singin in the Rain and other highlights from their colorful careers per TheWrap.com.

The touching montage closed with Reynolds and Fisher holding each other after a performance of the song on The Oprah Winfrey Show back in 2011. The two are greatly missed by fans and colleagues alike. People will always remember them for the amazing contribution they have made in the industry.
