Actor and comedian Jamie Foxx has finally spoken about his involvement in a reportedly violent restaurant altercation. Foxx took it to social media to set the record straight and add a little bit of humor to the situation.

In his Instagram account, the actor said that he is fine, E! Online reported. Jokingly holding a towel to his eye in front of the camera, he said, "F--k. The word is out, man. I know y'all heard about this s--t and saw some videos. I just want to address what happened on Saturday from my perspective."

He said that he was just trying to keep an eye on things before removing the towel exposing one purposefully crossed eye as a ruse. He went to say that everything is alright and they don't want any violence.

After that, he went to promote his next film "Sleepless" where he kicks some ass for real. The "Django Unchained" star went to plea for peace in the accompanying caption in one post.

Fox was reportedly dining with fellow actor Tyrin Turner, his barber Conrad Hilton and some friends in the patio area at Catch restaurant when one guy come over and complained to the group about being loud, TMZ reported. Sources reportedly say that the guy mouthed off, "You don't want to mess with me. I'm from New York." Other celebs who reportedly witnessed the scene were Jerry Bruckheimer, Cuba Gooding, Nicole Murphy, and Michael Bay.

Apparently, someone from Foxx table reportedly fired back, "F*** you I'm from Oakland." Eyewitnesses said that the guy lunged at Jaime. According to other sources, the unknown guy actually made contact with Foxx and pulled the actor down to the table. Other witnesses say that Foxx turned the guy around and put him in a choke hold.

After the incident, Foxx's group and the random guy were reportedly kicked out of the restaurant.
