After Saudi Arabia and Iran, China bans Pokemon Go

China has announced to ban the 2016 best sellers game Pokemon Go on the allegations of a security risk to geographical and transport sensitivities. Iran was the first country to ban Pokemon Go on August 5, 2016, on security issues and then Saudi Cleric issued Fatwa (Religious Ruling) against the game. Indonesia banned its police from playing Pokemon Go during duty times.

The game tasks you to catch critters while walking around the real world. With eyes glued to the screen and minds clinched into the mission, you may collide with a car on the road or fell from stairs or in a ditch.

Immediately after the launch of the game, many accidents and robberies were reported. Thugs snatched the pockets from Pokemon playing gamers. A girl allegedly stumbled upon a dead body while looking to catch a pocket monster, reports phone arena.

China's digital publishing association stated that until the security risks like geographical sensitive information, transport safety and security and personal safety are not addressed, the game will not be allowed in China. Location based game are allegedly cloned by Chinese software developers and sold in black or through illegal means.

The official response of Pokemon Go developers Niantic is yet not issued. Gameguide reported that since the developer of the game Niantic Inc. is an American based company, thus china decided to ban the game because the Chinses Government is hesitant to accept direct foreign access to the country.

The free to download android game is played worldwide by millions of players except some countries including Iran, Saudi Arabia and now China.

The great firewall of the Chinese Government restricts or denying the access of Chinese people to the online content confronting the Chinese policies. The reality game is available for free download both from Apple and Google play store. Even being the largest gaming market in the world, China does not see the official launch of the game even yet after two months of its launch.
