Carrie Fisher's death continues to intrigue everyone. It has been more than 15 days since she died. But even now the medicos are not sure what exactly caused the cardiac arrest. Did she suffer a heart attack before the cardiac arrest or did something else kill her?

Certificate Confirms Death Due To Cardiac Arrest

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health recently issued a death certificate of Carrie Fisher confirming that she died of cardiac arrest. The document listed the cause of her death as "cardiac arrest/deferred."

According to USA Today, it means that the county coroner may call for more investigation in the case. It thus, indicates that they will have to carry out toxicology tests to find the truth. Unfortunately, these tests take several weeks and hence, no one can know the outcome until then.

The 60-year-old humanitarian showed signs of heart-related medical emergency just a few minutes before she was to board the London to Los Angles flight. According to witnesses onboard, Carrie could not breathe for more than 10 minutes.

Why is Carries' Death Shrouded By Mystery?

Most people do not know the difference between a cardiac arrest and a heart attack. The American Heart Association says that in cardiac arrest an electrical problem stops the pumping of the heart. However, in the case of a heart attack blood flow circulatory problem causes the heart to stop working. It can be due to arterial rupture or even blockage.

Medical science says that not all heart attacks can lead to cardiac arrest. So it means that there are chances that Carrie Fisher may have suffered a cardiac arrest due to other reasons as well. That is why; the medical officers are not ready to confirm the cause of cardiac arrest in Carrie.

According to ABC News, the person listed as the notifying party is Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd. So, she will be the one who will take the decision whether the toxicology tests should be carried out or not. Of course, Carrie Fisher fans would like her to go ahead with further investigation so that the real reason of her death comes to the fore
