Motorola has been constantly updating its devices with the latest Android build, the last devices being Moto Z Force DROID and Moto Z DROID updated in November. We can say that Motorola has been most active among all manufacturers in offering quick release of latest firmware to all ots devices. Now Bluetooth SIG documentation has revealed that Motorola Droid Turbo 2 (AKA Moto X Force) will also receive the Android 7.0 update soon.

As we can tell from their same model number, XT1585, the Droid Turbo 2 and Moto X Force are the same smartphones. The Moto X Force/Droid Turbo 2 model has been famous for its unique ShatterShield layered technology on the front screen. This feature guarantees that the display will not crack or shatter if the mobile is accidently dropped from five feet or less over a period of four years. This feature has been further improved in the Moto Z smartphones line up which include the Motorola Moto Z Force and Motorola Moto Z Force DROID reports, Phone Arena.

This update includes an enhanced version of Doze feature. This feature has been specially designed for improving the battery life and standby time by stopping the apps from running in the background after a significant period of inactivity. It also includes Seamless updates, a feature which allows a user to normally use the mobile while the new build of Android is being downloaded and installed.

Though the actual release date has not been announced, it can be expected to roll out at the end of January 2017 or beginning of February 2017. Besides Moto X Force, Motorola is expected to release Nougat updates for its 2015 series smartphones as well. Other devices which have received confirmation of Android 7.0 updates include Moto X Pure (3rd Gen), Moto X Style, Droid Maxx 2, Moto Z Play and Moto Z Play Droid, reports IBTimes.
