'General Hospital' to reveal Nelle’s connection to Carly? Are they related by blood?

"General Hospital" spoilers reveal that there is a strong connection between Nelle Hayes and Carly Corinthos in their respective pasts. The former is bent on destroying the latter's life, but what is Nelle's biggest reason for her vendetta against Carly?

Nelle's hidden past

Last Christmas, Nelle (Chloe Lanier) spent time with Carly's (Laura Wright) family. Viewers know that Nelle has some things up her sleeve. The actress, according to Inquisitr, said that Nelle feels safe and relaxed around Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell).

Nelle had initially been introduced as Carly's daughter's kidney donor. She eventually became the family's nanny before being offered a job as Carly's personal assistant at Metro Court Hotel.

The character has yet to reveal her reasons for the crimes she committed, but she seems very passionate about ruining Carly's family. She framed the original nanny, stole money from the hotel, drugged Sonny (Maurice Benard), made him believe they slept together, then recorded his statements despite promising not to tell Carly.

Nelle's connection to Carly still a secret

There are some teasers in the show about Nelle's past. She has a box that contains a silver rattle with the name Caroline. Long-time fans of the show know that it's Carly's birth name.

Although it hasn't been revealed yet, Nelle is obviously upset and anxious that someone will find out about her past. Carly's mother, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman), already doesn't trust Nelle. There's a possibility she could find out Nelle's secret in the next few episodes.

Soap Hub conducted a survey on the viewers. Many of the participants, around 49 percent, believed that Nelle is Carly's daughter. They also think that she is doing the same thing Carly did to Bobbie years ago.

Around 36 percent, meanwhile, think that Nelle is related to Carly's old friend, whose identity she took after the latter died. Carly hasn't had a clean past. Are her past mistakes coming back to haunt her? Tune in tomorrow for "General Hospital" Season 54 Episode 196 on ABC.
