Robbie William's team Ie:Music drew flak for allegedly putting the tickets for his Heavy Entertainment Show tour directly on resale sites for a higher price.

According to a report by BBC, its Victoria Derbyshire program found that the team directly placed premium tickets for sale on Get Me In and Seatwave at an inflated price compared to the original price set on Ticketnet.

The report found that seats for Block 126 of Robbie's Etihad Stadium show in Manchester cost £95 before fees but at the Get Me In site, seats on Block 125 cost a whopping £160 before fees, resulting in a price difference of roughly £65.

Because the team was responsible for putting the tickets on sale on the resale sites, all the profits will go to them, added the report.

The alleged move came as a surprise because Ie:Music was among those who signed a petition in 2015 asking the government to take a firmer stand against resale sites that are bumping up the price of concert tickets.

In a statement, Conservative MP Andrew Bingham, who is a member of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, expressed disappointment that there are groups that are finding their way around the system and abusing them for their own purposes.

He cited that some artists' management teams were "now also complicit in it as well."

Meanwhile, Robbie Williams recently paid tribute to fellow artist George Michael during a performance on New Year's Eve at London's Westminster's Central Hall, reported The Sun.

The controversial singer also drew flak from the same event when he was caught using hand sanitizer after giving high fives to his fans, reported Digital Spy.

After becoming a fodder for jokes in social media, the former Take That singer responded through a cheeky post by his wife Ayda Field where the singer is shown spritzing hand sanitizer after greeting his own family member a happy new year.
