It finally happened, blujays! Jessica Sanchez showed up on Glee as the "legendary diva" Frida Romero, and it appears Will Schuester has no delusions about the New Directions' chances against the American Idol alum with a powerhouse voice.

Schuester (Matthew Morrison) spies on Romero (Sanchez) as she sings snippets of "The Star-Spangled Banner" (much in the same way she did for the President of the United States). Romero is the leader of the rival group the HoosierDaddies who will face off with the New Directions at regionals.

"Guys, we got a problem," Will tells his students. "Her name is Frida Romero. With Regionals only a few weeks away, I went to scout out the competition."

"Hoosierdaddies have a secret weapon. She's a tiny little sophomore -- never competed before -- but her voice could fill an arena, it's big," he says.

Schuester echoed the sentiments of showrunner Ryan Murphy when he talked to the Manila Bulletin earlier this year.

"Well, when you have a voice like that, we wanted her to be in every episode this year. But she couldn't because of the tour. She is doing an album so we worked it out that she will probably do two or three episodes so that will probably be 16, 17, 18 when we get into the regionals competition," he said.

"I would imagine she is going to be the big voice star of another competing choir who gives them a run for their money," Murphy added.

It appears the New Directions will have their work cut out for them when Sanchez returns as Romero May 9. Reportedly, she'll be singing "Clarity" by DJ Zedd and a song by an as-yet unnamed X Factor winner.

Can't get enough Jessica Sanchez? Catch her this weekend as she presents at the Radio Disney Music Awards. That should hold you over until her new album drops April 30.
