A lot of fans have been looking forward to seeing Spice Girls reunion that might happen this year, although the reunion might not feature all five members after Victoria Beckham and Mel C. bailed out. Sadly, the long-awaited reunion of our beloved girls has been canceled; just when we thought the reunion was indeed going to happen after last year's leak of GEM song.

The group was set in stone to come back later this year to perform under GEM name in a high-profile gig at Hyde Park despite Victoria Beckham's and Mel C's reluctance to join the rest of the group. A track song called Song for Her even leaked in November, adding the reunion to a whole new level of excitement.

Spice Girls Reunion has been canceled after Geri revealed that she has to call off the reunion because she has her priorities changed. Ginger Spice needs to concentrate on her personal life as baby number two is on the way. Geri, who already has a daughter from her previous relationship, is now expecting her first child with Christian Horner.

"Her baby is due later this year and rather than forcing a reunion, she needs to concentrate more on personal matters." A source said to The Sun confirming Geri has indeed ruled herself out of the project.

Geri's departure to focus on personal life is not the only issue that has been standing in the way. Getting all the girls to be in the studio, starting on making a new single was indeed one tough task to accomplish. Joyce Smyth, Rolling Stones' manager has also been reported giving up the reunion project. "What they needed was one main boss-style figure to pull the strings otherwise they would be constantly in limbo" added a source to Mirror regarding the challenges that the girls face to make the reunion happen. Well, let's hope they don't shut the door completely for another reunion in the future.
