Tom Waits, Cookie Monster Parody: CookieWaits Releases 'Hell Broke Luce', Long-Awaited Mashup, Follow-Up To 'God's Away On Business'

Tom Waits is a much-loved (by critics, anyway) Australian musician. Cookie Monster is a much-loved (no qualifiers) puppet from Sesame Street. And if you closed your eyes and listened, you'd be hard pressed to tell them apart.

YouTube user CookieWaits understands this and has taken the time to sync Tom Waits' music to clips of the lovable, blue Muppet. He started two years ago with "God's Away On Business" and today he's released the follow-up, a Waits jam called "Hell Broke Luce."

Check out the uncanny resemblance in the video below (though if you are uncomfortable with hearing Cookie Monster swear, you should probably pass):

"Sorry it took so long, but here at long last is the second coming of Cookie Waits. Hope you like it!" wrote CookieWaits in the description.

"At this rate, Cookie Monster should get through the entire Waits oeuvre in roughly 537 years, give or take a decade..." CW added.

This is great for me because I can finally stop showing "God's Away On Business" to Tom Waits stans. I'm good for another two years!
